NeuroSearch
NeuroSearch is a biotech company whose core business focuses on the treatment of diseases of the central nervous system, primarily through modulation of ion channels and other membrane-bound transporters.

In 1999, NeuroSearch decided to relocate to Ballerup and took over a 10,000 square metre building designed by the famous firm of Henning Larsen Architects.

"When we were considering where to locate, the fact that Ballerup municipality is so open and has such a positive mindset towards companies wishing to locate in the area proved determining factor. Another key consideration was the great concentration of life science companies in the area. This showed us that Ballerup municipality is used to handling matters of importance to companies in our industry. In addition to which the area is a great one. We are located in a beautiful, open scenic area. It is still close to Copenhagen, and having universities, hotels and the airport all within convenient proximity offered us the perfect opportunity to expand and develop our company".

Henrik Molte, director of investor relations and head of relocation, NeuroSearch.

Oracle
"In the mid-1980s, when Oracle was searching for a location in the Copenhagen Region, Lautrupgård in Ballerup was an obvious first choice. It provided an excellent location where we could establish a profile together with a number of international IT companies, close to key personnel and not least a good infrastructure. Our location is still perfect for our company, though ten years of heavy investments in the area have stretched the local infrastructure almost to its limits."

Camilla Kampmand, Marketing director, Oracle Denmark.
