The Øresund region is placed in the heart of Scandinavia, with a well-developed infrastructure.The merged region covers a total area of 20,859 square kilometres. It has a combined population of 3,6 million people and generates a quarter of the total GDP of Sweden and Denmark together. The central location in Scandinavia makes it a gateway to the Nordic markets, and companies located in the region also enjoys close proximity to the Baltic States and to the markets of Northern Germany and Poland.
The infrastructure is highly developed and very efficient. Especially, Copenhagen Airport on the Copenhagen side with more than 130 direct destinations makes the region a international centre.
