GREAT PROMOTION FOR DANISH IT PROGRAMME

Things are really moving for a Danish-developed software programme. Download.com, one of the world’s largest Internet sites for computer programmes, has selected the IT security company Secunia’s special programme Secunia PSI for an exceptional presentation on Download.com’s front page, writes Børsen.dk.

Secunia PSI analyzes whether the programmes installed in a person’s computer are fully updated and if not so, it offers you to just click a button to update your software to bring it to full security height to fix vulnerabilities so that hackers etc. will be kept out.

Secunia PSI is just one year old and can be used free of charge. It comes for Windows computers but not for Mac or Linux computers.

According to Mikkel Løcke Winther at Secunia the programme has almost 800,000 users worldwide and Secunia now expects to expand it business based on the Download.com’s Secunia PSI results.

Previously the IT news service ZDnet.com called Secunia PSI “the most useful and important free programme that you can run on your Windows PC”.
