Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation (FI) is administering 36 national innovative networks each with the purpose of strengthening innovation in the companies. They are the Højteknologiske Netværk, Regionale Teknologicentre and Regionale IKT-competence centres, writes the news portal i dag.dk.
The purpose of the national innovation networks is to give the innovation ability and competitiveness of Danish business life a significant lift by strengthening the interaction between companies and knowledge institutions.
Approximately 2,400 companies participated in the networks’ activities in 2006. Of these two out of three small and medium-sized companies had less than 50 staff. The networks are helping to create more innovation and building bridge between small and medium-sized companies and knowledge institutions.
